American soprano, Marcia Ann Early was hailed by the New York Sun for her “exquisite warm vibrant lyric coloratura voice”. At the early age of 19 years old she made her operatic debut with the Chattanooga Opera in the Opera, La Perichole as “Frasquinella”, and in Le Nozze di Figaro, as “Barbarina”. She has since performed throughout the United States and Europe.

Ms. Early has received note worthy praise from critics and audiences alike for her roles as “Gilda” from Rigoletto, “Musetta” from La Boheme, “Pamina”and “Queen of the Night” from Die Zauberflote, “Gretel” from Hansel and Gretel “Oscar” from Un Ballo in Maschera, and “Susanna” from Le Nozze Di Figaro. She has performed major roles with Boston Concert Opera, Brooklyn Lyric Opera, New York Grand Opera, Pennsylvania Opera Theater, Triangle Opera, Dicapo Opera, New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera (Gala) Opera North and the Chattanooga Opera.

Ms. Early has also performed as soloist with several impressive Music Festivals, including Aspen Music Festival, Spoleto Music Festival, USA, Zurich Music Festival, and most recently, New Opera Festival di Roma.

Ms. Early has debuted in several major New York Concert Halls, including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Cami Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, the Museum of Modern Art and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, and was noted by critics as a “Soprano to keep your eye on”.

In previous seasons, Ms. Early has been a featured soloist at the historical Trinity Church on Wall Street and St. Paul’s Chapel in Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Exsultate Jubilate, and Laudate Dominum. She has starred as soprano soloist in Bach’s Magnificat and Vivaldi’s Gloria with orchestra at Grace Episcopal Church in New York City. Ms. Early has appeared for three consecutive seasons as soloist in the televised production of the Lighting of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center with St. Patrick’s Cathedral Choir.

Ms. Early is a winner of NATS vocal competition and a finalist in the Baltimore Opera Auditions. Ms Early has appeared in Master classes with Elisabeth Schwartzkoph, Joan Dornemann, Sherrill Milnes, Licia Albanese, and Carol Neblett. She has studied exclusively with legendary Metropolitan Opera stars, Martina Arroyo and Anna Moffo.

Ms. Early received her BM from Covenant College, and a Voice Performance Diploma from the Mannes College of Music in New York City. Ms. Early is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and resides in New York City.
